If you’ve got sensitive skin it might be getting you down. If so I’ve got some sensitive skin care tips that I can share with you.
If you have sensitive skin there’s some simple things you can do for it that may mean you really don’t need to have sensitive skin.
If you have the symptoms associated with sensitive skin like rashes, blotchiness, redness, swelling, dryness and itchiness and more, then there is some things you can do.
Of course it may always be worthwhile seeing a dermatologist, but before you consult an expert you can try out some, or all of these remedies. Let science wait till you’ve tried some basic stuff to see if your skin conditions improve.
So if you suffer then the first thing you need to do is to examine all those creams, blushes, foundations, moisturizers and so on that you use now, because it can often be those anti aging skincare products and cosmetics and more that are causing the problem.
I write extensively about the nasty ingredients that are found in many big brand name cosmetics and skin care products on my website.
Things like parabens. If you haven’t read about parabens yet they are a commonly found in many cosmetics and skin care products. Parabens are a range of chemicals that are cheap to use and work as a preservative. And there is quite some doubt about the safety of parabens. For example the cosmetics database lists 2 parabens (there’s quite a few) as a hazard of at least 7 or 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. 7 or 8 is “high hazard”.
And a chemical like a paraben can itself cause skin reactions. So, ironically, the very products that you are using may well be causing your skin problems. Maybe or maybe not, but it’s worth finding out.
And if you change your brand of cosmetics or skin care products (or even soaps, shampoos and much more) to a non allergenic brand that alone may well result in your sensitive skin problems going away.
The writer of this article has direct experience of this. My 8 year old daughter had to use cosmetics for her first ballet performance recently. Not something that an 8 year old would normally use, but she did that day.
Within a short time her face had broken out in a rash and we removed the cosmetics and it went away. No more big brand cosmetics for my daughter.
So have a good look at your cosmetics and skin care products and if they’re big brand name products from your local store then the chances are that they have some nasty ingredients in them and that itself could be causing sensitive skin care problems.
And here’s another tip. Use low allergenic laundry detergents because if you’ve got your face on a pillow washed in regular detergent then that may also cause dry skin and sensitive skin care problems. And make sure you rinse everything well. Oh, and avoid those with fragrances, they too can cause problems for those with sensitive skin.
Fragrances are also chemicals and can cause skin reactions for all skin types, including those with oily skin and healthy skin.
And if you have specific skin allergy problems a good allergy specialist can also find out if there are any other products that you could be using that are also causing problems.
You need to try out a range of natural cosmetics and natural skin care products that may well fix your sensitive skin problem for you, if not then you need to keep looking.
Luckily it also turns out that the companies that make the best natural cosmetics and natural anti aging skin care products also make the best products. They are small niche companies making excellent products, and at very competitive prices too.
That’s because they don’t even try and compete with the big brand name skin care and anti aging products. They don’t advertise on TV which contributes hugely to keeping the cost of their products down. They rely largely on the quality of their products to sell their products for them through word of mouth.
Most of those big brand name products that you might be buying now will do very little and are made down to a price.
So there’s some sensitive skin tips. If they don’t work consult an expert like a good dermatologist, but just doing these things may well clear up your sensitive skin.
